Professional Experience and Expertise

Since his registration with the bar, Mr. Urayama has handled a wide range of matters within his practice areas set forth below. Thus, he worked to prevent and resolve conflicts by engaging in factual investigations, preparation of contracts, filing of provisional seizures and provisional dispositions, settlement negotiations, acting as a representative in lawsuits, arbitrations and mediations, proceeding with execution against movable and immovable assets and claims, and filing of applications for business rehabilitations and bankruptcy. Based on such knowledge and experience, Mr. Urayama is highly skilled in proposing comprehensive preventative measures and solutions from an impartial, multifaceted perspective.

During his tenure with the Financial Services Agency between 2012 and 2015, Mr. Urayama carried out inspections of and supervised registered operators and notified operators under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, including securities companies at the Financial Services Agency, thus acquiring knowledge and experiences with respect to (a) financial legislation such as the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, and (b) the interpretation and implementation of government orders, supervisory guidelines and inspection manuals under the Act. Drawing on these experiences, Mr. Urayama advises registered operators and notified operators under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act in the establishment of legal compliance systems appropriate to their business contents.
